Want your curious fishies to swim up above your aquarium? Here's what you need!
I've seen these things sold on Etsy, but never found any files. So I designed this.
You will need a wide mouth Mason or Kerr jar.
Use an aquarium safe PLA, and print with at least 50% infill.
Ensure your printer is well tuned for gap bridging, and Z adjusted so it doesnt elephant foot your print. You'll need to print 2 rails, and 1 jar mount.
How to use: Test the rails slide into the mount smoothly, and lock in place. Screw the mount onto the jar, noting orientation. Submerge the jar and let all the air bubble out. Invert the jar, and hold it into position against the glass, being careful to not allow air in. Slide the rails into the mount, hooking onto your tank, adjusting height as needed. The mount has locks for the rails that can be bent outwards to release.
NOTE: This is my first version, and the hooks are designed specifically for my own 10 gallon aquarium (unknown manufacturer). I'll upload a hook for Aqueon tanks soon, or you can simply remix the rails to fit your tank.
UPDATE: I've uploaded version 2. Should be much stronger. I'm currently printing it to test.
UPDATE: I've made some changes again. V3 uploaded.
UPDATE: Alright, last revision on the mount itself. It should print without bridging issues. Now we need more hooks...
UPDATE: 10 Gallon Aqueon tank rail uploaded.
