Summary

Description

A puller to pull tripper pins (style 156T1950A) from intermatic timer wheels. Solves busting a nail trying to get a tripper out or having to run to the toolbox.

The tray I designed to hot-glue into place, but double sided tape should work for awhile. Printed plastic has that interesting attribute of dissolving the two sided tape bond with time.

Puller is stored in the tray and spare trippers snap gently over the front edge so they don't fly out all over the ground. There is lots of room to separate them to make grabbing one easier.

USAGE instructions

  • Note, the tripper pin heads are not symmetrical.
  • The tool handle is rounded on one side and that should be used with the rounded side towards the center of the dial.
  • Slip the larger portion of the tool over the tripper pin until the head of the pin is seated in the grove in the L portion of the tool head.
  • Close the smaller end of the tool on the outer part of the tripper pin with the overhang going on the opposite side of the pin as the first end of the tool
  • Pinch closed and pull (wiggle as needed for those stubborn ones)

Print Instructions:

.2mm layer with .4mm nozzle tested

No supports required unless your printer has an issue.

The tray has no overhangs.
The tool has overhangs but they do not extend far.
PETG with 4 vertical perimeters to help it maintain that spring.

I did not print PLA as the summer heat at my location would soften it.
