I ran into a Replicator at the Microsoft shop at the Fashion Valley mall and saw the cool Dodeca Chain Loops found here http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:31925. I'm getting a little better with Sketchup so I figured hey, I can make something like that. The basic shape is a alt text heart (alt+3) entered as 3d text, offset, and then extruded.
It is designed to print at .2mm layer thickness with solid infill and single wall thickness. I was able to get mine to separate without the need for any cutting and no support material.
Aside from some simple name plaques this is the first thing I actually designed and printed from scratch for a purpose.
I included the Sketchup file in case anyone wants to make it longer/shorter. The pieces in the middle are all the same, but I had to do a custom connection on the 3 that are on the end to make the loop.
