Replacement chair plugs for IKEA's VILMAR chairs.
The purpose of these plugs is to provide a larger contact surface, which allows for easier sliding of the chair when used on a thick rug and to add a bit of style while at it.
The shape of the plug was influenced by IKEA's JANSJÖ lamp. The plugs should fit any 16mm cylindrical legs, but pay attention to leg's tilt - the plugs are at an angle of 9° to the vertical.
Post processing
The plugs feature 5mm attachment ports for post processing. I have used it to post process by spinning the plugs on a cordless drill and touching up with sand paper. This gave a smooth satin finish. I also post processed some plugs on my Acetone Smoothie, but the results were too shiny for my taste.
