IKEA Skadis shelf holder -- I useddouble sided tape on the top of these things so the shelf stays in place. I left the holes from the original design in for people who want to use screws.

I remixed this design because I wanted a shelf but did not have space on the top of my Skadis board. I reckon that my remix does not hold as much weight as the original one because that one wraps around the back of the board. My design does not. But as far as I have tested, it holds up pretty well.
