This is a filter holder for the Ikea Jansjo lamp. This was designed to adapt the Ikea Jansjo lamp to double as a red light at night to preserve my night vision for astronomy.
The filter holder is made in two pieces. The inner part is snug to the lamp. The outer part holds the filter in place and is snug to the inner part. The filter holder works using press fits so it may take some sanding to get the diameters just right. But because of the press fit there is no white light leaks of any kind.
FYI, the filter I use is LEE FILTERS 027 MEDIUM RED
