To extend my Ikea desk from the Galant series, I designed a support that can be inserted onto the base and a 16mm thick board can be screwed into it. The screw hole is for a 6mm diameter bolt and requires a nut and washer.
It can be printed in an upright position or lying flat. Support is required when printing lying flat.
The print material and infill should be chosen suitable for the stability required. Consider increasing the perimeter layers to strengthen the structure.
Update: The v2 is more suitable for printed lying flat and some printers may be able to print it without support. But at least less support is needed.
