This is a "cap" for the round port which sits above the keyboard and cassette ports on an IBM 5150 (any maybe other contemporary models).
The original is a metal cap (which I have) but I wanted to use that empty port to mount two external switches for use with my PC Sprint Accelerator. One is a 6x6mm tactile momentary switch which is a reset button and the other is a square push button toggle switch to change between normal and turbo mode.
The standard STL is intended as a simple replacement cap if yours is missing, but can also serve as the base for customisation.
The other is my custom one for the switches, which is probably of less use to most people
