My second attempt at one of the more obscure Star Wars ships. The Incom (yes, the same people who brought you the T-65 X-Wing of Galaxy saving lore) I-7 Howlrunner was the company's attempt to get back in the good graces of the evil Galactic Empire. An upgrade to the standard TIE Fighter, it was fast, maneuverable, and had shields. After the defeat of the Emperor, the New Republic had destroyed or cut off the supply of TIE variants to Imperial remnants, leaving the I-7 Howlrunner as their most available star fighter. The pictures of my pair of I-7s are imagined to be part of the Corellian Defense Force and the post-Empire Five-Planet Confederation Navy. Part assembly should be fairly obvious for 13 pieces and include:
Upper Fuselage - print with supports
Lower Fuselage - print with supports
Upper Wing (Starboard and Port) - print with supports
Lower Wing (Starboard and Port) - printed without supports
Cannon (print 2) - printed vertically in PETG for better detail in tougher material
Auxiliary Engines (Starboard and Port) - printed with raft in PETG
Upper and Lower Engine Pieces - no support or raft
Engine Nozzle (print 2) - print vertically with support
Engine parts were printed as separate pieces for easier painting prior to final assembly. Wings are printed in upper and lower to preserve details on the surfaces.
NOTES ON THE STAND:
See the uploaded I-7 model stand if you want to display one or two I-7 Howlrunners in flight, or you can find another stand or build one of your own. Two top pieces are included in the stand box, one with three holes for LED lighting, and one without.
