Imperial Japanese Navy // Aircraft Carrier Submarine I-19
B-1 class submarines were part of the imperial japanese navy as a vessel meant for gattering intel and engaging in direct combat
This ship was part of the Guadalcanal Campaign, playing an important role, as it sank the american Aircraft carrier, the USS Wasp
This model was made using papercraft patterns as templates for the model entirely on SketchUp, and has been checked with historical files, so i can guarantee the model is accurate in measures.
There are available 2 models to print ( Submerged and Surfaced) changing Periscopes, flag and cranes.
Im thinking in also making a base for the ship and a model of the plane it carried, but dont know if put it here or make its own thing...
It took like 2 months working in a lot on details and video rendering, i hope it shows and you really enjoy it guys.
Since the model has a lot of very detailed stuff, recommend to use very high resolution printer and a nice density in the filling.
Still waiting Wargaming to put this submarine in World of Warships, because i really love japanese ships.
Model is available in SketchUp's 3D WareHouse:
