You will need to download the top and base from the original thing and print them, but then you can print lots of these and just glue them together to make the pillars with the balls all in one. Make sure they are lined up nicely to make sure the balls rotate nicely in the base. No supports needed and stronger than the original versions. I'm sure assembly may need a little more force, but the toy will last longer and use less filament to print.
The angle in the thingiverse preview doesn't match the one shown when I drop it into the slicer - but obviously it needs to be rotated so the flat side is on the bed if it comes up looking like the preview! :)
