The problem I encountered is the G9 is an older generation server, however it works perfect for what we are using it for. The problem is when I installed the GPU Accelerator kit, I was fearing the CPU would sag over time due to heat. This is where the PCIe retention clips come in. However, every single PCIe retention clip for the G9, was from 80$ USD up to 150$ USD. Absurd.
So when looking at the G9 vs the G10, they are very similar. Most all parts are interchangeable. The problem is apparently they moved the CPU's closer together, which made these PCIe retention clips smaller.
You will need to file a little plastic from the clip to make it fit better, as it is, it prints too tight. Which is fine, you don't want it loose.
