I have had multiple HP V222 monitors and the power button has broken on all of them, leaving a circular hole inside which the actual power switch sits. This is a design I came up with to replace the broken button.
The two tabs slide into the hole and sit on top and below the monitor frame. The vertical piece between them matches up with the slot left by the broken button connector. The small tab on the opposite side is intended to keep the button from hanging down too loosely.
I remember it requiring a little force to go in and it isn't a perfect fit, but it has worked for the last few months, so I figure if it helps one other person, it's worth sharing it here!
