Here is my design of a Prusa Hot End pen holder!
There are no Supports needed for this print and you also won't need the MMU for a colored print, the color change is purely layer based.
And don‘t worry, you pens won‘t melt! :-)
Assembly guide:
- Print both .amf files. I recommend to have at least 3-4 perimeters for the nozzle. You can use your slicer to set up a layer based filament change to have it in different colors like my version.
- Simply click all 16 lamellas into the heat sink body. You shouldn't need glue.
- Hold the nozzle with one hand and twist the hot end in.
Do not twist the stand as the weakest link is where the nozzle touches the groundplate. - Do not overtighten, there is supposed to be a gap between the nozzle and the heater block just like you know it from your printer :-)
- Enjoy your pen holder!
Prusa owners can also find a ready to print gcode files on PrusaPrinters.
