Piece of honeycomb, designed to see if my beehives would accept and accomodate 3d printed cells, can also be used to teach people about bees.
IMPORTANT : You may need to print this at 102% scale instead of 100% in order for cura to not mess up the wall slicing with a 0.4mm nozzle. (Or use <0.4mm nozzles)
These cells are made up to bee standards, besides the walls being a bit large.
(.4 mm instead of .2) These should be the right size, depth, and angle for many species of common honeybees. 5 different files are available.
UPDATE : I have covered the print with a thin layer of wax and have placed it in a fresh new hive today (23th of May, see picture). Could take a while for the bees to start building near the print, will try to update as soon as I have something interesting.
