Summary

I mostly just wanted to play with giving a hook a skeletal look.

I print it on it's base and then pluck out the support material which can be a bit trying but I feel it is worth the hassle.

When I get back to the design I might change the angles a bit to make it more print friendly.

It is strong and can easily handle a heavy coat.

Use your brain and don't use the hook for anything expensive that could break if the hook fails.

If you print it and it works out, please send a pic.

I have printed it on my Artillery Sidewinder X1 and Tinkerine and it works well on both at 0.2 layer height with 10 percent infill.

230418 Update: Well its now 2023 and my first hook is still going strong having had a dust coat and jacket hung on it daily for going on 5 years now.

211006 Update: It have printed several more and they are all working well including my first one which has had a lot of weight on it and has not deformed that I can see.

201027 Update: Well over two years now and it has a daily load of my lab coat and has not deformed or broken. I regularly also hand a jacket and hat on the same hook. Not bad for PLA.

181113 Update:

So I have printed one. It works well and feels pretty strong, certainly strong enough to hang my lab coat.

Keep an eye on this as I'd still like to change the angles a bit to perhaps make it print without support.

It took about 02h10 on my DittoPro.
