This is the base of a gin pole for a Hobie 18 catamaran. It is designed to go between a Hobie 18 mast and a 2" PVC pipe gin pole. (used to step the mast with a winch)

The gin pole requires:

• about 7 feet of 2" PVC pipe
• Slip End Cap Fitting
• 1/4"x3" bolt (with nut and washers)
• about 20 feet of 1/4" polyester halyard rope (to brace the mast and gin pole)
