The file 'HO Scale Walton GTA Pickup Remix 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 202.6KB.
An HO scale remix of TSYRIK_ALEKSEY's Walton (GTA SA) model.
Changes:
Scaled for HO scale
Removed the mirrors from the cab for smaller scale printing
Added new rear frame, bed, bed planks, and walls.
TSYRIK_ALEKSEY's Walton from Grand Theft Auto prints well at HO scale (1:87), so I thought I'd try editing the thing in Blender and making some parts closer to scale. The finished model looks pretty good at typical viewing distances.
Parts are separated for easy painting or printing in multiple colours.
Print everything at 0.1mm layers with 0.2mm extruder.
Supports are needed for the cab and the rear frame. No other parts need supports.
The bed sides and stakes have sprues to hold the parts in position for gluing. Tape the side boards down to a work surface with the indentations facing upwards. Apply adhesive and then position the stakes, with the indentations on the stakes facing downwards, on to the boards. Use the indentations to align the parts. After the adhesive sets, trim away the sprues.
The cab seems to print best when tilted upwards at 45 degrees. I use the slicer's paint supports function to remove supports from the window and door recesses -- supports really aren't needed there.
I print the frame with the top side of the frame on the build plate (with the axle and differential facing upwards). Supports are needed for the axle and the tab at the front of the frame. This gives you a rough finish on the top of the differential, but this will be hidden in the assembled model.
