Summary

I've got a few HO engines that are lacking a cab interior. This needs to change. So here's an AAR control stand (found in most second-gen US locomotives), an old cab chair (EMD FT-SD40-2), and a newer cab chair (SD40-2-Modern).

The AAR control stand first started showing up on locomotives around the time of the EMD GP30 in the early 1960's, and has been a mainstay of locomotives ever since. Most second-generation EMD's use it, as well as modern engines like the SD70ACe. General Electric started using this control stand during production of the U30C, and has also adopted a modern equivalent for its ES44 line of locomotives.

The cab chairs in locomotives used to be extremely simple. They were a simple circle with a small back support, and were extremely uncomfortable. Most diesel locomotives (ALCo, GE, and EMD alike) built before 1975 or so had these seats as standard.

Since then, a more ergonomic chair has been installed in these units, and similar variations of this type can be seen today.

This small pack should be good enough to detail most diesel loco cabs, although a custom floor might need to be designed and printed.

This pack is also designed to be printed without supports, although the AAR stand may need to be placed on its back during printing. The 20° slope between the right and left sides of the stand should be buildable on most printers.
