The file 'Helical Storage Box 3D Printer Model' is (STL) file type, size is 997.5KB.
I made this box as a means to carry dice and miniatures in a backpack, but you could use it to hold all sorts of small crafty things too. It has 6 trays that swing out when the whole assembly is twisted. Each tray would hold a few dice, a miniature or a handful of small objects.
When printed, the assembly works very easily, but with proper tension on the center bolt, I've found that the trays stay shut without any additional fasteners. A big rubber band works if you need any further securing, but I don't think you will need it.
I have included two versions of the cam plate to suit the hands of the person using the box, and I've also discovered that the larger cam ring works as a rolling space in a pinch.
