Summary

This is a demonstration toy/object of helical gears. By correct combination of taper angles, the gears can be assembled at right angles.

Simply print all parts (except for Gear32_Full, which is only uploaded for reference), and assemble. Gear32 is split into two parts so that it can be formed as an interlocked loop with Gear24.

The parts can be "locked" using standard 1.75mm 3D printing filament. This allows easy locking of parts without purchasing additional fasteners. One may decide to apply some glue, if necessary. This locking works well for most parts, but might be a little fragile to lock the Gear32 together (will try to design a screw-locked design in the future!).

You can also download extra stuff (F3D and STEP files) from Cults:
https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/helical-gear-kinetic-object
Download from Cults include: all components in STL, F3D, and STEP formats; F3D and STEP file of Gear 32 before being sectioned in 2 pieces; F3D and STEP of the assembly file so that the model can be played around in a CAD software.
