The file 'Heavy Duty Furnace Vent Cover 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 11.2KB.
This is a beefier version of the plastic furnace vent cover found at your local hardware store.
The furnace vent cover at the front door keeps breaking whenever someone steps on it. I didn't want to spend another eight bucks on a cover from the store that'd only last two or three months, so I decided to see if I could design a sturdier one.
This cover is meant for vents that are approximately 300mm x 55mm, although it would be pretty easy to scale it so it would fit other sizes.
I jumped on it a few times and tried to bend it and it is much stronger than the store-bought plastic covers (at least the cheap ones I buy).
Due to its length (~340mm), the only way I could print it in one piece was vertically. It probably would've been smarter to print it in two halves and then glue them together - that would save a lot of plastic and time because of the supports needed for the vent holes.
