Summary

My wife loves this heart frame that I created! I printed a few of them for her. You need to print the heart frame, insert, and stand. Put a 4x6 photo in the photo cutout of the heart. Then, slide the insert over the photo to hold it in the cutout. Finally, slide the heart frame with photo into the stand.

Here are some advanced options:

  • Set the "Top Layer" to zero in your slicer if you want to see the infill geometry effect. My wife loves this effect as seen in the first photo. I used "Triangles" as the infill pattern.
  • Print in two colors. I printed the back of the heart in black. Then, I did a filament change at Layer 23 to switch over to red. The effect is marvelous! Look carefully at the photo to see the red triangles pattern with a black background! I printed the stand in black and the photo insert holder in red.
  • If you know how to use Mesh, you can change the very bottom of the heart frame to 80% infill to make the part that slides into the stand more durable. In Cura 4.0, you simply add a box, choose "Per Model Settings", and then change it from "Normal model" to "Modify settings for infill of other models".
