If you, like about a billion other people or so, have some Ivar shelving from the giant Swedish purveyor of such gear, you may want to hang some stuff on the side of the shelving unit occasionally.
UPDATE - New revision V2 added. It has a taller lip at the tip to stop hanger's falling off. ALSO has a tiny tension-bump to tighter grip the cross-member. Fingers are slightly taller too, for more stability.
ANOTHER UPDATE Added yet a taller tip-lip for even more hang-on-to-it-ness. Use the v3 version for the tallest lip. Added a little hole there too, in case, I dunno, you want to tie something onto it or something.
As per the pic attached to this thing, we get clothes hangers collecting on an Ivar unit sometimes, and they are ornery when they are not well controlled. They like to reach out and grab you when you're passing.
I put this little design together from scratch in a few minutes, and printed it without much effort nor material. It works so great. Will print a few more. I keep thinking of other uses for them. You can suspend an electrical cord on it for something sitting on the shelf (e.g. your iron). You can hang a coat on it. You can hang your keys on it.
It's pretty useful, and oh so cheap to print. Give it a whirl.
