The file 'Handy Joints For 25 X 25 Mm Timber (3 Types) 3D Printer Model' is (FCStd,stl) file type, size is 2.1MB.
Some handy 90 degree joiners for 25 x 25 mm planed timbers.
Make square joints without skill or glue, easy to assemble and disassemble.
They could probably be scaled a little bit to accept other sizes, although I've not tried.
Three types are included:
Tee25x25 (a T-joint where one piece butts onto another)
This joint requires a clearance hole through the running timber: the screw then taps into the endgrain of the butting timber.
Note this item includes a modelled support to be knocked out prior to use.
TripleCorner25x25x25 (two pieces butt onto a third, all perpendicular)
This joint has a single screw at a 45 degree angle, which must tighten into an edge of the running timber. Best to file a small flat here and drill a pilot hole (see image).
The joint has grips hidden inside that retain the butting timbers when the screw is tightened.
SAFETY NOTICE:
These joints are ok for light applications but are not as strong as proper joinery and must not be used where failure might cause injury.
