Thanks to the awesome suggestion from the even more awesome Botcrusher (from the handy discord and eroscripts), I made a new handy hands3 cup (that should only be used with the topcap orientation) that utilises the newer and better camera mounting equipment that has arri points alongside the 1/4 unc threaded screw that help prevent rotation and loosening from during use, due to impact vibration by the handy strokes.

This 3d print is a bit more advanced to make as you will need to use a soldering iron and a heat set insert: 1/4x20. You will also need to upgrade to newer camera tech - Literally "neewer" :-) to utilise this.

I don't think the desk clamp part would be that good as its for flat and rounded surfaces
than one or the other but overall, it just looks like a newer better version of the smallrig equivalent bits with the arri points as natural design innovation/progression.

I still prefer the wearable hands3 way but for those that prefer the desktop clampled experience, enjoy :-). By the way, the standard hands3 range of wearables are 2 in 1 in that they can be worn with 2 tactical belts or mounted to a vesa compatible plate on a monitor arm with nuts and bolts or simply fastened with 4x zip/cable ties at the corners.

However, for the desktop clamped way, I can see the benefit of a simple little magic arm and this cup for a lightweight easy way of "doing it" etc.

If this doesn't work out as you wish, please simply try a hands3.
