Summary

UPDATE 10/8/2024
It has come to my attention that several people have taken this model and are re-distributing or selling it for profit it in direct violation of the CC Non-commercial no derivative license that this is distributed under. If you see this model anywhere but right here, it is an unauthorized upload or sale.

X-Wing epic scale model of the Hammerhead Corvette as seen in Rogue One. Proportions have been skewed slightly but I think the overall shape reads well. I used Nicholas Sagan's amazing 1/600 Lightmaker model for the bulk of my reference.

NON-COMMERCIAL LICENCE
You may not sell or modify these files, or sell prints made from these files. These files are provided solely for personal use.

Epic stand peg holes are built in. They are the "shorter" distance meaning the stands will only fit in the base in the closer holes, the ones for the GR-75 and Gozanti.

The files aren't perfect but they should all print. I designed this to be lit using standard LEDs. The two aft sections are meant to be held together by four large bar magnets (B22X0) and have cutouts accordingly. Getting the aft section to stay in place is a little fiddly at the moment, depending on the size of your battery box. I'm working on better "HH_connector" pieces that go in the rear of piece 5 to fit more snugly, so I will be updating that here. The rear cover (piece 7) is meant to cover a switch and is held in place with 8x D201 magnets. If you are not interested in lighting the model, you can glue all these pieces together.

Piece 5 prints with the two side barrel pieces attached, which I know isn't ideal. You may want to re-slice that and glue them on separately (again, another change I plan to update). Piece 4 requires a lot of support, I suggest tree. I can't think of a more efficient way to print that one, so I'll leave it to the end user to see if they can come up with a better solution.

The turrets were very tricky to print on my Ender 3 but I managed to do it with a 0.3mm nozzle and modified FDG profile. I included split and whole versions in case you want to print the turrets in resin. The whole versions may need some tweaks to the sizing. Turrets 1-5 are designed to be modular and should be swappable, but again you may have to do some sizing and/or tweaking with the length of the peg (print with it slightly moved down into the bed in Cura).

One more thing. This is a tricky print and will require some fiddling. I leave that part to you. I don't plan to sell these files because I do not have time to clean up the files enough or to provide printing support. Good luck!

Update 5/10/21
I've added the model as a single piece (minus the turrets) for anyone wishing to slice it themselves or print at a different scale. Be warned, this model is unoptimized and is likely to have errors, print at your own risk!
