Apparently, the manufacturer of the Publix brand half gallon containers of half-and-half were having some problems with the lid spinning off by itself. (This is pure speculation on my part.) So, they put little nubby things on the inside of the lid to prevent it from easily spinning. Which also prevents those with typical finger strength from opening the container. This little wrench fixes the problem. Slip it over the lid, then spin it with the wrench. Voila! It is open.
