A set of modified parts for the hackable Guardian model.
The first Modification is a bottom lid that is easy to open and that does not fully block access for cables to the leg joints. Instead of a place for a switch it has 3 mountpoints/cable holes. I added a servo mounting bracket inspired by the Adafruid lid (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2441788) but removed some unneeded plastic that does nothing for the functioning of the bracket and only causes problems for you if you use a slightly different stepper (mine was 1mm deeper so the lid would not close properly).
The Second is a set of modified "details" for the head and body. I cut those apart, rotated them and added legs that need to be removed after printing. Like this they are still hard to print but not impossible anymore. With these you can print the body/head in a different plastic than the details and paint them separately. I am using this to print the body/head in translucent PLA while having non-translucent details.
The Third is a modification of the Leg segments. I fused the segments together for better bed adhesion and strengthened a part that tended to break upon assembly at least for the PLA segments I made. This will also slight restrict movement so they don't lever apart as easy. To assemble them you will need hot water and be quick about it ;)
Note: I haven't added the body details yet since I haven't tested them yet.
