The file 'Gridfinity+ 3D Printer Model' is (stl, zip) file type, size is 18.1MB.
This is a work in progress.
Latching bins compatible with Gridfinty+ bases.
Bases are compatible with all gridfinity bins.
New design is magnetic compatible. Simply embed a 1 x 15mm wire ( I used an old paper clip) into the base plate.
It doesn't grab as well as standard gridfinity with magnets on both sides but should be enough for most applications.
I printed mine with PETG so the latch had plenty of flex. Larger bins may latch too aggressively which can be fixed removing some of the latching tabs.
Made in Ondsel 2024.1 which should be compatible with FreeCad. Open the config spreadsheet to adjust the size of the bins or bases.
I included an experimental workbench for Freecad 1.0 rc2. You can create a base grid of any size (needs optimization) or create a bin. Just unzip the file into the Freecad mod folder.
To create bins start with the tabs tool. Set the size and choose the tabs pattern you want. Then use the create bins tool to create the bin to fit the tabs. Use the fusion tool to boolean all of the bins parts together.
I plan on adding a few bin types in the future.
