Summary

It seems people make Gravitrax pieces designed around their own printer. I'm no exception!

My print bed is only 140mm so to print long pieces they need to be segmented. To this end there I have created these Gravitrax long bridges in convenient 120mm spans (or two Gravitrax units). It is very strong and prints without the need of any support structure and very little (or no) waste or cleaning up after printing.

EDIT (10 June 2020): On request I have added a 60mm middle span so any size from 4 upwards can now be spanned.

I have manged to get a span of 10 Gravitrax units joining 2 ends and 3 mid points without gluing or finishing the pieces at all. I'm sure it will go much further if you finished the edges and glued it. I'm sure I'll update this as I print more spans.

Something to note this bridge does not have the "Wings" the original pieces have so I would imagine if you're hitting this at speed off a corner the ball might fly off, so you might need to use some original spans to get the ball going in a straight line first... Just experiment!

Anyway, let me know how you get on with it, this is my first Thingiverse addition!

Cheers, Rob

P.S. I would love it if you post up your makes just to see how it's working for you. Cheers :)
