The file 'Grantham Tomb Scan 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 12.7MB.
Beautiful scan of a medieval tomb. Scan by Oliver Laric, part of the collection available at http://lincoln3dscans.co.uk/. I think this project is a model for how museums should present their collections.
I turned it to print vertical for better detail and flattened the base.
Printed on a SeeMeCNC Orion deltabot with black PLA, then dry brushed with silver Gilder's Paste to highlight the folds of the cloth and other details.
We talked about this finishing technique and a whole lot more about 3d printing on the 3D Printing Today podcast available on iTunes, Stitcher radio or direct from the source at http://threedprintingtoday.libsyn.com/
