This project uses an ESP8266 NodeMCU module and GPS receiver to produce a local Stratum 1 WIFI time signal and is housed in a wall mounted 3D printed enclosure.
This is version 2 and has a few improvments including dual OLED displays. The original circuit and board can be re-used. v1 on Thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5222069
Full build details including large schematics and Vero Board layouts are on my site here https://www.brettoliver.org.uk/GPS_Time_Server/GPS_Time_Server_v2.htm.
I wanted a reliable time server for some of my NTP clocks as pool.ntp.org would sometimes fail for a day or so and I could never find out why.
I decided to build a GPS NTP Time server and found Mitch Markin's https://github.com/mmarkin/GPS-NTP-Timeserver design which I could easily modify to suite my requirements.
