Summary

I used Govee LED Lights H7020 rated for outdoor use around my pool area to provide night lighting. These LEDs have a separate white LED which is why I used them. The lighting provides a warm light (probably closer to 2700K) but provides the perfect amount of light around my pool area at night... not too bright but not too dim either. I probably can't read a book using the lighting, but is perfect amount to see and be safe around the pool at night.

The lighting is rated at 48 feet, but I found the first 6 feed to be the extension cord, so each cord gives you about 42 feet of lighting. You can also attach 2 cords together to get 84 feet of lighting. They also sell an H7021 that has the two cords joined together but I can't comment on the length as I didn't go that route. For me I had electric by my filter in the corner so I was able to use an outdoor extension cord from the outlet to an outdoor rated electric box, and then plug all of the lights into the electric box using an outdoor rated power strip. I used soft ties to tie the cord to the fence on the risers from the ground to the top railing and also tied the control box to the fence on the risers. I was able to have 84 feet of cord going out one direction and another 84 feet of cord going the other direction from the filter while also having 42 feet of cord in the filter area itself (5* H7020) to light up my pool area (this will vary based on your specific dimensions of your pool area).

When clipping the light to the clip, first insert the wires through the gap, then push the light up. The wires is a bit tight fit but the clip goes on very well and you should hear a click noise once inserted correctly. When mounting the clip to the fence, turn the clip sideways allowing the wires into the gap in the fence first, then rotate the clip 90 degrees which locks it in place.

The wire clip allows you to hide the excess wires in the fence railing. I found it was hard to insert the clip correctly, so I created the tool that made it much easier to insert the clips. The tapered edge should face down toward the ground while the rounded edge should face up towards the fence railing.
