Update: I added a v2 that does not require to use the velcro to hold the GoPro remote but instead uses friction to clamp it in place. Works perfectly for me. You could use a short looped string attached to the GoPro Remote lanyard hole to tether it to the handlebar if needed.
I needed a cradle for the GoPro Remote for my BMW R1250 GS as I wanted to mount it on the 32mm handlebar for easy access - and it shouldn't look too bulky as well :-)
The cradle is attached to the handlebar with two 5mm zip-ties.
The remote itself can either be permanently mounted to the cradle with velcro or zip-ties through the slot underneath the cup.
Or - which is how I am mostly using it - by simply taking the velcro strap that came with the remote and wrapping it around the handle.
