GoPro's, due to their design, tend to overheat to the point of shutdown when stationary. My solution before was removing the battery and battery door and hooking it up to external power, but what I really wanted was a bespoke, convenient way of cooling the camera while it ran off of its internal battery, without an external power source. Thus, I designed this.
The purpose of it is to house, power, and mount to the GoPro a 40mm fan. The fan pulls in air and runs it across the screen, then out a series of vents on the other side, ensuring that the camera is kept cool even when stationary and running at Linear/60fps.
The fan is a standard 40mm 5v fan, which can be easily found on Amazon or Ali Express. The screws are all M3 screws (4x 42mm, 1x 22mm): the hinge is designed to be tight enough on the door side to retain the screw as a pin. The power source is made of a charging circuit and a rechargeable 13500 cell stripped from a disposable vape, but any battery/charging circuit that can fit in the slot will work. Optionally, you can just put in any kind of USB input and power it directly via any 5V power supply.
