update JUL/9/2024 : this is still by far the BEST goku on thingiverse. because i'm shadowbanned and persecuted by google/ADL, you have not seen this for 4 years while other, inferior designs get promoted with more than twice the views of this highly accurate modelrip with proper attribution and source. in case you haven't noticed, this site promotes mediocrity while burying superior creators to maintain the status quo.
END UPDATE (export STL from the latest BLEND)
i'm no dragon ball z expert -- i only watched a few episodes in the mid 90s, so i have a few questions for real fans of the series:
let me know if you can provide some advice. this is a lot of work for me alone, but if anyone competent could peer review or provide suggestions it would definitely help me release higher quality restored model rips.
this is a much nicer model than the vegeta i released a while ago. the pants have been restored to 100% original quads... so they are essentially PERFECT. the shirt has a lot of folds to it but i resisted using edge creases, instead opting for manual edge bevels. the main hair needs more attention since i can't seem to get the right profile w/ subsurf.
the supports are your responsibility since printers and printing preferences vary from person to person.
my scale is still messed up in blender, resulting in highly connected when loading into slicers. i have scaled up 10x from the original but you still might have issues. also, there was some nasty loose geometry inside his boot lace knots which i hopefully cleared up. if you have issues i recommend checking the boot laces first. i can't remember if this is supposded to be mirrored or not -- ripped from main menu home screen.
