Summary

Gloomhaven Monster Standee Box

This box allows you to easily store and access all your Gloomhaven monster standees.

  • compact design
  • easy to print
  • fits easily within the original Gloomhaven box
  • does not take up much space on the table
  • optional lid for easier storage and transportation
  • all monsters are easily accessible
  • supports the Forgotten Circles expansion

Where should I put each monster?

Please take a look at the included PDF file "MonsterBox.pdf" which shows the placement of each monster. You can print it at a 1:1 scale and glue it to the top (or inside) of the lid. The monsters will not fit in any other way. All monsters in Gloomhaven seem to have different dimensions.

What's the difference between the large and the small box?

There are two boxes and you need to print both. The large one is for the taller monsters (like Stone Golems) and the small one is for the shorter ones (like Forest Imps).

I initially wanted to make a design with only one box, but having two boxes has several advantages. One box designs tend to be extremely large, because they need to fill up the space of the smaller monsters and they require lots of spacing between the monsters. With this compact design, all monsters can be easily accessed from the top and the side.

Is the lid required?

No, it's not. The monster will stay in place without the lid. But I highly recommend printing the lid because it allows you to simply put the monster in the Gloomhaven box and transport it without worrying about your monsters.

Does it support the Forgotten Circle expansion?

Yes, there are slots for the monsters of the Forgotten Circle expansion. If you do not have the expansion yet, you should probably get it.

Can I store the boss monsters too?

No, you can not. The bosses are usually quite large, have only one standee and are rarely needed. I recommend putting them in an envelope or something similar.

Have you tried other designs?

Yes, I have printed and used several other designs from Thingiverse. I really liked the Gloomhaven standee storage solutions by Floxyd, but the five boxes require a lot of space on the table and usually end up distributed across the room. Also I wanted to have a lid and I wanted store the Forgotten Circle monsters. The box by txengineer14 is also quite nice, but is extremely large and heavy and did not fit into the original Gloomhaven box.

I really like your design!
