The file 'Glock Slide Serration Sanding Guide (standard Rear Serrations) 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 28.0KB.
I restored a badly mistreated airsoft Glock slide and wanted to get the rear serrations pretty again (see pictures for before/after), so I designed this sanding guide.
Schould be real-spec (7 3mm wide serrations with a distance of 2mm each), so it should also work on real slides.
Uses thin slices of standard sanding paper.
I only sanded the serrations to 300grit while I polished the rest of the slide to mirror finish to give it some contrast, and I´m really pleased with the result.
(I started with 300grit and it didn´t take much effort to remove all scratches previously present, but the slide consists of pretty soft AlZnMg, so you might need to start lower, just dont sand too deep with the low grit paper or you´ll reach the depth limit before you´re finished smoothing the surface (see 'how to use' [5] for a workaround)
(I explicitly designed it this way to be able to use the depth limit to make sure the serrations are exactly parralel to the slide when I´m done.)
The sandpaper fixation on the sanding slide are not ideal, but they worked for me and I didn´t want to reprint it. Feel free to improve them ;)
