Summary

Spending a lot more time at the range doing drills. Needed a simple, slim but secure solution for carrying extra mags and I love making stuff.

This is the third iteration of this design with quite a few revisions for each. Can be printed with locking tabs for a secure fit, or without for smooth easy draw. This is a 2 piece print: main body shell and belt clip. All overhangs designed steeper than 45, so no support required. Print this exactly as-is for the best result. Version with tabs survives violent shaking fully loaded. Friction fit ones are fine with an empty mag but will lose a full mag if you run a lot. Works fine with either stock or Menendez mags. Parts join using a Hirth joint and a stainless M5 X 12 mm button head screw with a recessed Nyloc nut. Should thus be cross-compatible with 5/32 screws.

Required non-printed parts:

1x M5 x 12mm button head screw
1x Nylock nut (normal nut could work too, up to you)

Mount/Carry angle is adjustable. My goal was to make it as Compact and slim as possible while still retaining the adjustable angle and very secure carry. Flared the insertion point as much as possible while keeping it fairly slim for ease of use. Tested and works well with 15 and 17 round mags (pictured with a 15). Shell printed in solid PLA ( 7 perimeters), belt clip in solid PETG. Might work on alternative (molle, IPSC syle etc.) mounting options in future for a modular system, though I don't really need those options. Might as well. Guess it could be easily shortened for use with 10 rnd mags. But I don't own any of those, so didn't bother.

A vertical slot along the body allows for both springy retention force and tactile confirmation of full/empty status while still protecting rounds from mechanical impact or being knocked out. Also stops any and all dust/crud accumulating inside.
