This is a holder for the Glock Field Knife, it was originally created as the Feldmesser 78 (Field Knife 78) and Feldmesser 81 in 1978 and 1981 (respectively) as a bayonet for the Steyr AUG rifle for the Austrian army.
The Glock Field knife is an excellent knife but I wanted to be able to utilize it for its initial purpose as a bayonet, however the original mount for a Steyr AUG is very difficult to find and is not compatible with modern mounting systems.
As a solution to this I drafted this, a rail mount for an MLOC rail, and sheath (adapted from a prior design I found online). I printed it from Carbon Fiber Nylon so it would be strong and functional but PLA and other filaments would also work but would be less strong.
The countersinking and channel at the end of the bayonet lug is present so a 4mm diameter x 50mm long bolt can be inserted to reinforce the lug.
