Summary

I finally got around to getting a glass bed (borosilicate) for my printer. I was having a hard time finding printable clips that I could make, so I designed some.

I know you can use the binder clips, but I wanted something that was not running the risk of shorting out the heat traces on the bottom side of the bed. I found some simple "C" shaped designs, but nothing that looked like much time was put into them. Yes, I know, it's a clip...

Anyway I made these to be at 5.82mm in the design where clamping happens. In my case I needed 6mm (3mm for the heated bed plate and 3mm for the glass). I figured this would be a starting point for clamping force.

These so far are working out GREAT. Nice and easy to add and remove and seem to hold it all together just like expected.

I also added the little fish tail thing on the outside so that they can be easily added and removed.

I made these out of PETG so that they would hold up best with heat as well as have some level of flexibility. You of course can try whatever material you want, I am curious to see what works best.

I also designed these so that they can be easily printed with no supports or anything. I have also provided the Solidworks file in case you need to adjust size for your printer.

NOTE: You can also easily adjust size, just figure out what you need and scale them in your slicer program, just saying...
