UPDATE: I've added another file that is a bendable version of the mount. It can bend just enough to be pushed onto a pipe from the side rather than slid onto the end. Both mounts are the same size and both still use the heat/press inserts mentioned below.
This is a remix of Node7Elec's Gimbal Can Holder. It's a great design, but I found that the weight of a can in the holder would twist the mount on a round bar.
I redesigned the tube mount so that it clamps on with bolts. This mount is designed to use heat/press M2.5 inserts and M2.5 bolts. Picture of inserts attached.
New (Hardware) Bill of Materials
2 M2.5 Heat set inserts
2 M2.5-16mm socket head bolts
2 M3-12mm screws
1 M8-40mm screw (or 5/16-1.5")
1 M8 Lock nut (or 5/16")
2 623zz bearings
2 608zz bearings
NOTE: This clamp mount is made to slide onto a tube from an open end, it cannot bend enough to go on from the side... Stay tuned, I may try and design a separate one for that.
