Uferbalkenwagen Pf-10 (reparied)
The file is a conversion of the payload on Pf-10.
This payload is needed to start bridging at a riverside (Ufer...).
When the stretch of the bridge is desided the riverside beam (Uferbalken) is laid and fixed to the ground.
The beam has pins on the upside whereon the roadway beams are attached at exact intervals.
The payload contains
1 riverside beam (middel of cart)
2 piles of planks for driving surface (r/l outer edges of cart)
2 pairs of roadway bearers
1 bearer (for roadway upper side)
2 transition rails (planks r/l aside of riverside beam)
1 transition flap (below ofriverside beam)
As a bridge over a river connects two riversides, there are two "Uferbalkenwagen"
(riverside beam carts) in a German Bridging Column B. You will find them in 2nd pontoon platoon of the column.
model and photo are 1/160 scale
