Summary

I have a wonderful 2v geodesic dome kit from Build with Hubs that I use for festivals. I've found that the small metal washers do not provide enough support for the pole ends and things sometimes get wobbly. When I saw that they had new 'secure covers' for sale I was inspired to design my own. If you want to give them a go, here are my designs. If you want to go with a tested design printed in a stronger material, I highly recommend you buy one of their secure cap kits.

I am currently printing a set in PLA+, with an infill of 100%, for use at an upcoming burn. I would not recommend using a partial fill, as the cap would be more likely to crack when you crank down the tension bolt.
