This is my first attempt at a geared rope maker.
Notes:
- The screws are pretty weak, so you may be better off with nylon ones.
- At 0.25 layer height, the screws should not need post-processing, but the threaded holes will.
- For best results you either need a M6x1 tap, or a metal M6x1 screw with a groove cut in it to clean up the inside threads.
Updates:
- Only the 3 screws that hold the frame together are needed, v2 has the extra holes and threads removed.
- I redid the hooks to hopefully make them print better
- I make the screws go all the way through for added strength. (Even better would be to use nylon or metal M6x1x15 screws.)
- Added a new "hook gear" that you just tie the string/thread to. This version does not require supports.
