Summary

This is a modified Gear Bearing for use as a skateboard wheel.

It's not a very long lasting wheel, and it's taller than normal (about the typical height for a longboard wheel), but it was a fun idea to try and print. I had to drill the center hole slightly larger to fit.

This wheel is not suitable for long term use, nor for trick riding. You might have better luck than me if you use a solid infill and have your printer tuned to extrude the exactly correct amount of plastic. Mine were printed in ABS, with 0.3mm layer height, 220% width over thickness, 40% hexagon infill sliced in slic3r with a 3mm brim which merged with the bottom overhang. My E steps/mm was apparently a bit low because there is not solid infill on the top layer.

The gear bearing will turn much easier if greased with white lithium grease.

My printed wheels broke on an attempted kick flip, and the rear wheels started to have the outer layers peel after some riding.
