Summary

This is used on my Hobie Sport to mount my Garmin Striker 4 to a T-slotted rail I've customized for my Hobie. The T-slotted rails can be purchase at the site referenced below:

Part 1-1 is the base mount with a 1" diameter ball joint. You will need to use a 1/4-20 Threaded tap to tap the center hole for use with threads. I use a 1/4-20 socket head screw from Mcmaster Carr for mounting to the rail:
McMaster # 92562A276 Mil. Spec. Alloy Steel Socket Head Screw, 1/4"-20 Thread Size, 1-1/2" Long
and
McMaster # 47065T139 T-Slotted Framing, Compact End-Feed Fastener, for 1" High Single Rail

Part 1-2 is one half of the mounting arm shell that will require a 1/4-20 tap to be threaded thru. the fasten knob used with the arms can be purchased below:
