Assembly Instructions 📱🚲

This Garmin GPS mount is designed to attach securely to your phone case, ensuring your GPS device is always within reach during your adventures. The design includes a square cut template and adjustable parameters to ensure a perfect fit. Here's how to assemble it:

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Print the Cutting Template:

    • File: cuttingTemplate.stl
    • Recommendation: Use a small layer height, such as 0.12mm. No supports are necessary.
Note: The layer height should match across all files. Refer to parameters.png to ensure consistency.
  2. Cutting the Phone Case:

    • Carefully cut a square hole in your phone case using the cutting template.
Tip: Try to make tight tolerances. You can always file the edges to make it larger.
  3. Adjusting Parameters (If Needed):

    • If the cut is too large, don't worry! You can adjust the parameters in the garminPhoneMount.f3d file to ensure a snug fit.
    • Open the file in Fusion 360 and modify the dimensions in the parameters tab as needed.
  4. Print the Garmin Mount:

    • File: garminPhoneMount.stl
    • Ensure the layer height its 0.12mm or change it at matches the garminPhoneMount.f3d parameters, as the base will need exactly 2 layers for proper strength.
    • No supports are needed; the design is optimized for easy printing.
  5. Assemble the Mount:

    • Insert the Garmin GPS mount into the square hole on the phone case. Ensure it's a snug fit.
    • If necessary, file down any uneven edges to perfect the fit.

If you don't need every day the garmin mount, you can print the holeCover.stl to make a normal phone case again
