This is for the working worm gear inside most garage door openers. Make sure to grease it up before installing it.
I'm not 100% sure the sweep angle is perfect, I went off my stripped gear , and pictures of new ones online, although the rest of the dimensions were measured with calipers. The stl file has a pretty low chord height, so the print file is large enough to make the gear fairly precise. I gave the teeth a bit of curvature like an involute spline profile, but they were just an eyeball guestimate...involute profiles are too work intensive for a 7 dollar part from walmart that i'm trying to duplicate with PLA. I would also recommend, if this does work, let the door go all the way up before pulling your car underneath LOL definitely dont want any accidents because of a 3d printed gear!
